A 35-year-old man killed in a crash on a Golden State (5) Freeway off-ramp in Burbank was identified by county authorities Tuesday.
The crash was reported at 10:23 p.m. Sunday on the Empire Avenue off-ramp from the northbound Golden State Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP’s online log gave few details about the crash, except that at least one vehicle was involved.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig told City News Service.
The Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office identified the decedent as Elman Barrera-Santos, whose place of residence was not immediately available.
A news videographer who went to the scene reported that Barrera-Santos was on foot when he was hit.
