Police Tuesday sought the public’s help in identifying a driver who left the scene after hitting and severely injuring a man in the San Fernando Valley community of North Hills.
The crash was reported around 7:55 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Sepulveda Boulevard and Nordhoff Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
An older, dark-colored Toyota Camry was traveling east on Nordhoff Street passing Sepulveda Boulevard when it struck the 39-year-old pedestrian as he walked inside a marked crosswalk.
The driver did not stop.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics rushed the critically injured man to a hospital.
