A woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run vehicle in South Los Angeles, authorities said Sunday.

The 34-year-old woman was walking northbound on Manchester Avenue, within a marked crosswalk, at the intersection of Manchester and Budlong avenues, when she was struck at about 10:50 p.m. Saturday by a black sedan that failed to stop, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

It was unclear if the woman died at the scene or at a hospital.

Police reminded the public that a reward of up to $50,000 is available to residents who provide information leading to a fatal hit-and-run offender’s identification, apprehension and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
