Two women were stabbed, one fatally, at a home in Burbank Monday, and a suspect remained at large.

The stabbings were reported about 6 a.m at a single-family house in the 2800 block of North Brighton Street, according to the Burbank Police Department.

Paramedics transported both victims to a hospital, where one was pronounced dead. The condition of the surviving victim was not disclosed.

Officers conducted an extensive search of the area, but no one matching the suspect’s description was found, police said.

“The relationship, if any, between the suspect and the victims remains under investigation,” according to a police statement. “Detectives are actively canvassing the neighborhood for evidence and reviewing surveillance footage.”

Anyone with information was urged to contact the Burbank Police Department’s Investigation Division at 818-238-3210.

  1. This is an extremely irreverent and disrespectful photo to attach to this story. I was friends with the victim and, in the midst of emotional turmoil this morning, I was trying to get more information and stumbled upon this article with a photo of a man holding a bloody knife?! Are you kidding me? Absolutely insensitive. Have some class, My News LA.
