Police sought potential additional victims connected to a series of sexual batteries near the Silver Lake Reservoir.
Detectives assigned to the Northeast Division, who specialize in sexual assault cases, began an investigation into an allegation regarding a 25-year-old woman reporting being groped while exercising, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police said the woman told detectives the incident occurred at approximately 8:45 p.m. on March 25, as she was exercising in a park, a man approached her from behind and groped her breast before leaving the scene in an unknown direction.
A similar offense occurred at around 5 p.m. Saturday when a 33-year-old woman reported that she was also assaulted while exercising in a park, with the man approaching her from behind and groping her breast.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic or Asian man with a large build.
“In response to these incidents, Northeast Division implemented proactive steps to address the matter and ensure the safety of visitors of the Silver Lake Reservoir, to include increased uniformed officer presence and foot patrols,” the police department said in a statement.
