A 61-year-old woman who was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on the Ventura (101) Freeway near Woodland Hills was identified by county authorities Thursday.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office determined the victim is Rosada Haines,

California Highway Patrol officers were called at 1:36 a.m. Wednesday to the northbound freeway and the Valley Circle Boulevard exit, where a black sedan and a black SUV were found in the middle lanes of the freeway, CHP Officer Sergio Garcia told City News Service.

A dark sedan and a black Dodge Charger had also collided several feet away, the CHP said.

The fatal accident shut down the 101 Freeway for about four hours.

The victim, Haines, was pronounced dead at the scene

The injured victim was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel.

The CHP launched an investigation into the cause of the collision.
