A pedestrian who was killed in a collision on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu was identified by county authorities Wednesday.
California Highway Patrol officers were called at 4:36 a.m. Monday to PCH and Mulholland Highway, where the pedestrian — identified as Steven Griffith, 44, by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office — was fatally struck, CHP Officer Michael Nasir told City News Service.
Griffith was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel.
The CHP issued a SigAlert for the closure of two northbound lanes and the southbound lane of PCH for one hour, Nasir said.
