A Silver Alert was activated Friday for a 77-year-old woman who went missing in Santa Clarita.

Vivian Hicks was last seen at about 6 p.m. Thursday near Deodar Place and Boxwood Lane, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Hicks was described as a 5-foot-3-inch-tall woman weighing 150 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes.

Authorities believe Hicks is traveling in a white 2022 Infiniti QX55 with California license plate 9CMR358.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Hicks was urged to call 911.

The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
