A total of five people were arrested during a DUI checkpoint in Jurupa Valley, authorities announced Saturday.
The checkpoint was held near the intersection of Mission Avenue and Camino Real between 8 p.m. Friday and 2 a.m. Saturday, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
A total of 433 vehicles were contacted and two people were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, authorities said. Three additional people were arrested on suspicion of driving with a suspended license.
Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
