A domestic violence arrest warrant was served Wednesday at a home in South Los Angeles, leading to the discovery of a cache of fireworks inside the home, police said.
Officers served the warrant at about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of East 85th Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
One person was arrested at the scene once the warrant was served and a bomb squad was called in to investigate the fireworks cache, an officer said.
The fireworks find comes after a fire in a converted garage on May 9 led to the detonation of pyrotechnics that reportedly blew a man’s body apart in the 2400 block of Ninth Avenue in the Jefferson Park area.
