Police Friday are searching for the suspect who allegedly stabbed a man who was found wounded on a Metro bus in the Exposition Park neighborhood near USC.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded at 1 a.m. Friday to South Vermont Avenue and West Exposition Boulevard regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call. When they arrived, the officers found the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds, an LAPD spokeswoman told City News Service.
The victim was taken to a hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel in an unknown condition.
Video from the scene showed the victim being loaded into an ambulance.
Police said there is no suspect description.
Metro credited “its alert operator who quickly summoned assistance after noticing a passenger who’d been seriously injured in an incident that occurred at some point before the passenger boarded the bus,” according to an agency statement.
Anyone with information about what happened to the victim was urged to call the LA Regional Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS (or 800-222-8477).
