One of two people killed in a two-vehicle crash in Palmdale was identified Monday.

The crash occurred at about 11 p.m. Saturday in the area of Avenue N and 10th Street West, a watch commander at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Palmdale station reported.

“A black Lexus LS400 was driving south on 10th Street West at an unknown rate of speed and a white Chevrolet Colorado pick-up truck was driving east on Avenue N at an unknown rate of speed,” according to an LASD statement. “Both vehicles entered the intersection simultaneously and crashed with each other. Both drivers were pronounced deceased on scene.”

The Los Angeles County medical examiner on Monday identified one of the victims as Aiden Marroquin, a teenage boy who sustained multiple blunt-force traumatic injuries.

Paramedics also rushed three people to a hospital via ground ambulance and one person to a hospital via helicopter, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
