Los Angeles Police Department detectives continued Monday to investigate a shooting in Watts that killed one woman and wounded another.

Officers were dispatched at 2 a.m. Sunday to a report of a shooting in the area of East 104th Street and Wilmington Avenue, according to the LAPD Media Relations Division.

Paramedics rushed a woman to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

Another woman was taken to a hospital by a private vehicle, where she had stable vital signs.

The shooting occurred at a vigil for a woman who was killed last Monday by her boyfriend, according to ABC7.

There was no other information available, including a description of the suspect.
