A driver suspected of driving under the influence led police on a chase across multiple freeways Wednesday evening before the Los Angeles Police Department called off the pursuit near Compton.
The chase was first reported in the Harbor Area around 8:50 p.m. Wednesday and traversed the Long Beach (710), Harbor (110) and Glenn Anderson (105) freeways, including South Los Angeles, Long Beach and Compton, the LAPD reported.
The suspect at times exceeded speeds of over 90 miles per hour.
The pursuit ended at approximately 9:12 p.m. The suspect was last seen driving on the Long Beach Freeway near Alondra Boulevard near Compton, an LAPD spokeswoman told City News Service.
