A 35-year-old man was killed in an Echo Park shooting, authorities said Monday.

The shooting occurred at 9:10 p.m. Sunday outside an apartment at 1126 White Knoll Dr., according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman.

The victim was shot by a male suspect who fled the scene in a vehicle, she said.

  1. This part of the neighborhood has not had working streetlights in almost a year. We have contacted city council and the mayor’s office warning them of increase in crime and begging for help and street light repair. This is where our kids play and we walk our dogs. The city officials who ignored our pleas enabled this.
