A 48-year-old woman who was fatally struck by a hit-and-run motorist in North Hollywood was identified Thursday.
The woman was crossing Victory Boulevard when she was struck by a white sedan traveling westbound near Troost Avenue, just east of Lankershim Boulevard, about 10:30 p.m. June 11, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. It was unclear if she was in a marked crosswalk.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics treated the victim and took her to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
She was identified Thursday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as Luz America Ocampo Huerta, who sustained blunt traumatic injuries.
