A female was critically wounded in a drive-by shooting in the Historic South-Central area of Los Angeles, authorities said Monday.
The shooting occurred at about 4:05 p.m. Sunday in front of 219 E. Martin Luther King Blvd., according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
The victim was standing on the sidewalk when a vehicle drove up to her and a passenger fired shots before the vehicle fled westbound on Martin Luther King Boulevard, he said.
Paramedics took the female to a hospital for treatment and her condition was listed as critical but stable, the spokesman said.
The victim’s age was not immediately available.
