A 41-year-old man suspected of stealing a sailboat in Marina del Rey has been taken into custody, authorities announced Friday.
Deputies assigned to the Marina del Rey Sheriff’s Station responded at approximately 9:15 a.m. to the 13600 block of Mindanao Way to reports regarding a stolen boat, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

According to sheriff’s officials, the training vessel belongs to a nonprofit organization and used for local youth sailing programs.
