A 42-year-old woman and the 3-month-old baby she was suspected of abducting from Northern California were located Wednesday in Westwood.

An Amber Alert had been issued on behalf of Hayward police for Maxence Sirois and her non-custodial mother, 42-year-old Marina Kazakova, according to the Hayward Police Department.

The two had last been seen at about 1 a.m. Wednesday and were said to be traveling in a white 2016 Mazda SUV, which was later located in the 11000 block of Wilshire Boulevard.

A Hayward police sergeant said Los Angeles police located mother and child just before noon Wednesday near the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Veteran Avenue.

They were both in good condition.

Investigators would travel to Los Angeles to take custody of both Maxence and her mother, the Hayward police sergeant said.

An Amber Alert is an emergency response system for spreading information about a missing child by media and electronic roadway signs.
