Los Angeles County sheriff’s investigators sought the public’s help Thursday in identifying the person responsible for the July 2020 fatal shooting of a 20-year-old man in the West Rancho Dominguez area of Los Angeles and announced a $25,000 reward in the case.
The shooting was reported about 11 p.m. July 6, 2020, near East 135th Street and Avalon Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The victim, later identified as Edgar Vasquez, was shot while driving near his home, authorities said. He suffered critical injuries and died the following day.
The reward is being offered for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the person responsible for Vasquez’s killing.
