Police in Long Beach are continuing their investigation Friday of a shooting in the Carmelitos area of the coastal city.
Long Beach Police Department officers were called at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday to the 5000 block of Atlantic Avenue and East Via Carmelitos regarding a shooting.
Upon their arrival, the officers located evidence indicating a shooting had occurred, the police department said.
It was unclear whether anyone was injured.
Suspect information and the motive for the shooting are under investigation, police said.
