A brush fire in Azusa that burned 25 acres of vegetation but caused no injuries or structural damage was 80% contained Wednesday.
The fire was reported at approximately 7 p.m. Monday near Highway 39 and Mountain Laurel Way, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The blaze grew to 25 acres Monday night, but fire crews prevented it from spreading further. Angeles National Forest officials said containment of the fire had grown from 20% Tuesday morning to 70% by Tuesday afternoon.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
The Los Angeles County Fire and U.S. Forest Service were managing the firefight under a unified command.
