A pedestrian was fatally struck by a Metrolink train in Northridge Monday.
The unidentified person was struck around 3:45 p.m. Monday in the 8800 block of North Tampa Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
All train service was halted in the area during the investigation. It was unclear why the person was on the tracks.
