A 23-year-old Los Angeles man was arrested on suspicion of secretly recording female patrons at a business in Burbank, police announced Tuesday.
Emmanuel McCarthy was booked on suspicion of using a concealed device to secretly record another identifiable person’s body or undergarments without consent, a misdemeanor, according to the Burbank Police Department.
Officers responded at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday to the 1600 block of North Victory Place in the Empire Center after receiving reports of a suspicious man taking photographs of female patrons, police said.
Responding officers located McCarthy and arrested him in connection with voyeurism allegations involving two women, ages 25 and 26, police said.
The case was submitted to the Burbank City Attorney’s Office for filing consideration.
Police said detectives continued investigating the case Tuesday and believe there may be additional victims who have not yet been identified.
Anyone with information or who believes they may be a victim was urged to contact the Burbank Police Department’s Investigations Division at 818-238-3210.
