A 30-year-old man pleaded guilty to human trafficking of a 15-year-old girl in Santa Ana, according to court records obtained Thursday.
Randy Eugene Mccon pleaded guilty Tuesday to human trafficking of a minor, attempting to pimp a minor younger than 16 and pandering with a minor younger than 16, all felonies.
Mccon was scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 6.
The plea came as Mccon was about to go on trial.
Mccon admitted pimping the girl in January 2019.
Santa Ana police detained the victim just before 3:30 a.m. Jan. 14, 2019, as she was working a corner in the city notorious for prostitution, according to a trial brief from prosecutors.
Mccon told police he knew the teen was working as a prostitute and had plans to drive her back to Oakland, with the girl paying him for gas money, prosecutors said.
