A car struck the Encino-Tarzana Branch library in Tarzana Tuesday, causing minor injuries to the driver, but injuring no one inside.
The crash was reported at 10:41 a.m. Tuesday at 18231 W. Ventura Boulevard, near Lindley Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The car went all the way into the library, which was not open to the public at the time of the crash, according to a videographer at the scene.
The driver was assessed for possible injuries but did not require hospital transport, the LAFD reported.
A water leak from what appeared to be a landscape irrigation pipe also resulted and crews diverted the flow from entering the building.
The building did not appear to have sustained significant structural damage, according to an early report from the LAFD.
No one was cited or arrested, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
