A man suffered a non-life-threatening stab wound Saturday during a fight with a suspect in North Long Beach, authorities said.
Officers dispatched at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday to a report of a stabbing in the 6000 block of Atlantic Avenue located a man with a stab wound to his upper body, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
Paramedics rushed him to a hospital, where he had stable vital signs.
“The preliminary investigation indicates the victim was in a physical altercation with the male adult suspect, which escalated when the male adult suspect stabbed the victim,” according to a police statement. “Suspect information is under investigation. The investigation remains ongoing.”
