A 27-year-old man suspected of breaking into Kim Kardashian’s Hidden Hills home and taking a vehicle for a joy ride was being held without bail Monday following his arrest.
Trey Mendel was arrested Sunday after deputies responded at about 3:45 p.m. to a residential burglary call in the 24800 block of Long Valley Road in the unincorporated Hidden Hills area near Calabasas, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The department did not identify the resident, but the home was widely reported to belong to Kardashian.
Kardashian and her family were not home at the time, according to reports.
Mendel was booked on suspicion of burglary and taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, according to the sheriff’s department.
He was being held without bail at the sheriff’s Malibu-Lost Hills Station, according to online inmate records.
