Students and faculty at Cal State Fullerton got an early start to their weekend Friday thanks to a power outage that forced the cancellation of classes.
The outage was reported around 9 a.m., and university officials initially said they hoped to quickly restore power. But within an hour, authorities opted to cancel classes for the day.
Southern California Edison crews restored power to the campus shortly before 11:30 a.m., but classes remained canceled.
The cause of the outage was not immediately known.
