A telephoned bomb threat led to an evacuation at MacArthur Park Elementary School Tuesday, but nothing suspicion was found at the campus.
Officers went to the campus in the 700 block of South Grandview Street shortly before 10 a.m., said Los Angeles police Officer Liliana Preciado.
Students were brought to a location consistent with a fire drill, and a canine team was requested to assist in the search, Preciado said.
By about noon, the campus had been searched and students were allowed to return to campus, according to School Police.
The school, also referred to as MacArthur Park Primary Center, is described as “pre-K-5,” meaning the students range in grade level from pre- school to fifth grade, with a “heavy emphasis” on performing arts.
