A festival including music, food and prizes will be held from 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. at Whittier Boulevard and Arizona Avenue.
Los Angeles Football Club defender Jordan Harvey and midfielder Mark Anthony Kaye will be the sports grand marshals. LAFC’s under-12 academy team will also participate in the parade.
Cal State Los Angeles has been designated as the education grand marshal.
Other parade participants include actors Danny Trejo and Jovan Armand, comedian Felipe Esparza, recording artist Kap G, marching bands, classic car clubs, equestrian units and folklorico groups.
The parade was one of the largest and longest running Christmas parades that focused on the Latino community until being suspended in 2009. It was revived in 2016. More than 90,000 people lined Whittier Boulevard to watch last year’s parade, organizers said.
