Three Palm Springs councilwomen and former Councilwoman Ginny Foat will join Democratic state Senate candidate Elizabeth Romero for a virtual campaign event Wednesday.
“Cocktails & Conversation” is set to begin at 6 p.m. over Zoom video conferencing.
Romero will be joined by Palm Springs Councilwomen Lisa Middleton, Christy Holstege and Grace Garner, who along with the rest of the City Council have endorsed Romero in the May 12 special election to fill the 28th Senate District seat vacated by Republican Jeff Stone, who resigned to become western regional director of the U.S. Department of Labor.
Former Councilwoman Ginny Foat is set to moderate the chat.

Romero, a member of the Riverside County Board of Education and UC Riverside’s chief government and community relations officer is facing Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez, R-Lake Elsinore, in the district that includes Temecula, La Quinta, Murrieta, Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs and Blythe.
