SunLine Transit Agency, in partnership with Alpha Media, KESQ News Channel 3 and Walmart, will host its 11th annual “Pack the Bus” school supply drive later this month to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Cathedral City.
The drive will be held from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on July 17 at the Walmart in Palm Desert, located at 34-500 Monterey Avenue.
Organizers said a school bus will be parked outside of the store, where attendees can drop-off supplies such as backpacks, safety scissors, pencils and mechanical pencils, notebook paper, Sharpies, erasers and colored markers.
“Your donation helps kids in the Coachella Valley start the school year strong,” organizers said.
