Cal Poly Universities has taken top honors in the 137th Tournament of Roses Parade, winning the 2026 Sweepstakes Trophy for its entry “Jungle Jumpstart,” which was designed, constructed and decorated by students at Cal Poly Pomona and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo,
In keeping with this year’s theme, “The Magic in Teamwork,” the float depicts a group of rainforest animals working together to restore an old robot.
This marks the 77th year the two universities have worked together to produce a Rose Parade entry.
The design features 21,000 flowers plus other materials including ground coffee beans, curly willow and walnut shells.
The Sweepstakes Award, which has been presented at each parade since 1924, honors the most beautiful entry encompassing float design, floral presentation and entertainment.
