An investigation was underway into a hit-and-run crash in Studio City that took the life of a motorcyclist in his 30s.
The rider was eastbound on Ventura Boulevard at Carpenter Avenue, near Carpenter Community Charter School, about 7 a.m. Wednesday when the driver of a blue Honda Odyssey minivan that was heading west attempted to make a left turn onto Carpenter, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The minivan and the bike collided and the driver of the Honda did not stop, but continued south on Carpenter before abandoning the vehicle, police said.
Paramedics took the motorcycle operator, a man in his 30s, to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
His name was not immediately available.
