Firefighters managed to keep a heavily involved fire inside the garage of a Mission Viejo home from spreading to the attached two-story residence, authorities said Monday.
The fire was reported at 7:40 p.m. Sunday in the 24000 block of Apehna Avenue, according to the Orange County Fire Authority. That is near the intersection of Alicia Parkway and Muirlands Boulevard.
Video from the scene showed heavy black smoke billowing from the garage as firefighters cut holes in the roof.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation, the OCFA reported.
