A vegetation fire burned 48 acres Monday near Interstate 15 in Lake Elsinore and was 15% contained.
The fire was reported shortly after 12:40 p.m. Monday near Interstate 15 and Nichols Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said that no structures were threatened, but one firefighter suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital.
Five engines, a hand crew and three-fixed wing air tankers were requested to help contain the blaze, authorities said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
