Firefighters quickly put out a vegetation fire in Santiago Canyon holding it to one-quarter acre, authorities said Monday.
The fire was reported shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday in the 7500 block of Santiago Canyon Road, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
Firefighters quickly stopped the forward progress of the fire, officials said.
No injuries were reported and no structures were damaged, fire officials said. Firefighters planned to remain at the scene for awhile to make sure all hot spots were out.
