A 30-year-old man was killed in a fiery crash in North Hollywood and three others were hospitalized after the vehicle in which they were traveling struck an electric pole.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded at 1:43 a.m. to 11615 W. Vanowen St. south of Lemp Avenue, where they learned the silver vehicle struck an electrical pole and then several parked cars, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.
Firefighters used hydraulic tools to extricate the victims from the vehicle, including one man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, said LAFD spokeswoman Lyndsey Lantz.
A 25-year-old man was in critical condition and two 19-year-old men were taken to hospitals in unknown conditions, NBC 4 reported.
