Despite the stormy weather and rain, a stubborn fire at a commercial building in the Ramona Gardens neighborhood of Boyle Heights is potentially threatening neighboring structures, the Los Angeles Fire Department said Friday.
Fire crews responded to the fire at 1:15 a.m. to 2727 E. Alcazar and Murchison streets Friday where they continue to maintain a defensive posture outside a 100 feet by 100 feet metal-clad commercial building and are fighting the fire from the exterior, said LAFD spokeswoman Jennifer Middleton.
Middleton said 88 firefighters are at the scene and no injuries have been reported.
