A Wildomar resident died in a fire that partially consumed the mobile home where the victim resided, authorities said Wednesday.
The fatality occurred shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday in the 33800 block of Paradise Lane, just east of Interstate 15, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said multiple engine crews were sent to the location following 911 calls of smoke rising from the single-wide trailer, which was also reported to be occupied.
Firefighters discovered about one-third of the trailer in flames and quickly established hose lays, fully containing the blaze in 10 minutes, officials said.
During a check inside the stand-alone residence, the sole occupant was discovered deceased, according to the fire department.
The victim’s identity, including gender, was not immediately released.
No surrounding properties were impacted by the blaze, the cause of which was under investigation Wednesday.
