Saturday is the deadline for candidates in Los Angeles’ 2015 primary nominating election to file their declarations of intention to run for office.
The declaration of intention to become a candidate can be picked up at the Office of City Clerk-Election Division at Piper Technical Center, 555 Ramirez St., Space 300, beginning at 8 a.m. It must be filed by noon.
The period to file nomination petitions ends Dec. 3.

The offices being contested in the March 3 election are the City Council seats for Districts 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14; the District 1, 3, 5 and 7 seats on the Los Angeles Unified School District Board of Education and Seats 1, 3, 5 and 7 on the Los Angeles Community College District Board of Trustees.
