The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved a $765,000 remodel of a health clinic in El Monte.
Supervisor Hilda Solis recommended the upgrade, designed to streamline patient services by consolidating three registration and waiting rooms into one.

“With the Affordable Care Act now in full force, we must remember that health care consumers have a choice,” Solis said.
“For many individuals and families in my district, this will be the first time many of them will ever go to a clinic or health care facility because prior to ACA, they had no access to health care coverage.”
The renovation would create a more welcoming environment for patients and a better workplace for the staff, Solis said.
