An electrical power problem Thursday prompted interruption of Metro Blue Line Service between downtown Long Beach and the Willow Station.

The problem was reported about 7:30 a.m., said Jose Ubaldo of Metro. The cause of the problem was under investigation.

Long Beach Transit buses will be available to shuttle rail passengers within the affected area, and the fares will be waived, Ubaldo said.

Blue Line service was uninterrupted between the Willow Station and downtown Los Angeles.
