A collision with a Metro train and a pedestrian Tuesday has caused a stoppage in train service on the Metro E Line (Expo).

The collision occurred at 12:51 a.m. at Exposition Boulevard and Seventh Avenue near the Crenshaw neighborhood, said Metro spokesman Jose Ubaldo.

Metro has implemented a Bus Bridge, which is a bus shuttle service, for passengers to use during the disruption in service to be able to continue on to their destinations.

Expo train service is as follows until further notice:

Westbound trains are operating at from Seventh Metro to Western Station and reversing back to Seventh Metro;

Eastbound trains are operating from downtown Santa Monica to Crenshaw Station and reversing back to the downtown Santa Monica;

And the Bus Bridge is connecting passengers between Western and Crenshaw Stations in both directions.

Metro recommends considering adding extra time to your morning commute on the Expo Line or consider another transportation option Tuesday morning, Ubaldo said.

The condition of the pedestrian is unknown.
