Los Angeles County residents will have a chance Tuesday to provide feedback on Metro’s fiscal year 2025-26 spending plan during a live, interactive telephone town hall event.

Starting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, residents can call in or submit comments online to share priorities for the budget, including public safety, improved services and enhancing the transit experience.

English speakers can call 888-400-1932, while Spanish speakers can use 888-400-9342.

Participants may also pre-register to be called during the event, or submit a written question or comment online at tthm.wufoo.com/forms/metro-telephone-town-hall-signup.

Metro officials said public input is critical to ensuring the budget “reflects the needs” of riders.

In part, the budget serves as a way to identify priorities, programs and initiatives the agency will pursue in the year ahead.

The agency’s budget process begins with resource forecasting by Metro’s Office of Management and Budget, followed by community engagement efforts, including meetings, listening sessions and surveys.

Metro’s 2024-25 budget was adopted by the Board of Directors in May 2024.

The nearly $9 billion spending plan outlined funding for cleaning efforts, public safety, bus and rail operations, infrastructure projects, among other things.

The town hall will be live streamed at janus.teletownhall.us/?id=Metro&eid=111632, and in Spanish at janus.teletownhall.us/?id=Metro&eid=111633.
