NBC announced it has ordered the alternative comedy series “Better Late Than Never,” where television legends William Shatner and Henry Winkler, four-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Terry Bradshaw, former heavyweight boxing champion George Foreman and comedian Jeff Dye will embark on an adventure throughout Asia.

The quintet will navigate their way through Tokyo, Kyoto, Japan, Seoul, South Korea, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Chang Mai, Thailand without assistants or limousines in search of an intimate, life-changing experience, according to NBC.

The five will rely on each other for support and encouragement and demonstrate that friendship is the ultimate gift, according to NBC.

Production will begin in August. “Better Late Than Never” will premiere at a yet-to-be-determined date in the 2015-16 season.

Winkler is among the executive producers of the series based on a South Korean series whose title translates to “Grandpa Over Flowers.”
