Curtis James Jackson III — better known as 50 Cent — has released a trove of financial information as part of his bankruptcy case, and the Wall Street Journal (among others) is dissecting the data.
Among many other things, the 40-year-old rapper owns seven cars totaling more than $500,000 in value, including a 2010 Rolls Royce and a 1966 Chevrolet coupe. His home in Farmington, Connecticut, is put at nearly $8.3 million.
But he has posted business losses of more than $10 million last year and in 2013.
He filed for bankruptcy in July after a New York City jury ordered him to pay a woman $7 million. She said he had posted a sex tape she made with a boyfriend.
“Get Rich or Die Tryin'” launched him as one of the world’s wealthiest rappers.
