“Straight Outta Compton” went straight to the top of the box office in its opening weekend, collecting $60.2 million, according to final figures released Monday.

The monster opening for the biopic about the formation of rap group N.W.A. pushed Tom Cruise out of first place, as “Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation” fell to second with $17.2 million, according to Rentrak.

Another action-spy thriller, “Man from U.N.C.L.E.,” debuted in third place with $13.4 million.
