Ellen DeGeneres on Tuesday spoke to Justin Bieber like an exasperated mom trying to get her son’s attention. He fiddled with his hat and tried on her reading glasses while avoiding an answer to her question about his current dating life.
“I’m single, ladies,” he said as young women in the audience laughed and swooned. “And ready to mingle.”
DeGeneres said “a lot of girls … would like to mingle with you,” and the 21-year-old tabloid star said: “I don’t know if I’m ready for a relationship right now.”
“They don’t want relationships,” DeGeneres replied. “They just want to mingle.”
“Here’s the thing: I just never know what women are thinking,” he said. “They say one thing and they mean another thing, and they’re like, ‘Do this,’ and then, ‘No, don’t do this,’ and I’m like, ‘What do you mean?'”
Bieber visited the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” to promote his new song, “What Do You Mean?”
